Dubai World Cup Carnival

Dubai World Cup Carnival

The Dubai World Cup Carnival (DWCC) began in 2003 (formerly known as the Dubai International Racing Carnival) and runs from January to the end of March.  It is a truly pioneering festival in terms of duration and scope and has successfully attracted some of racing’s finest stars from all around the world - Great Britain, the United States of America, Japan, France, Germany, Sweden, Singapore, Brazil, Australia and Hong Kong to name a few. Since its inception, the DWCC has served as a springboard for progressive horses to launch into races on Dubai World Cup day.

The major prep for Dubai World Cup day is the Super Saturday meeting, usually held on the first Saturday in March. Super Saturday allows trainers to put the finishing touches to their equine stars before appearing on racing’s biggest stage - Dubai World Cup day. As the official dress rehearsal for the Dubai World Cup, it is a major social occasion.
